Kimberly's surprise birthday! (picture story)
The birthday crown is in place and was ready to be worn. Kim's birthday guests are all waiting to surprise her at BJ's restaurant in Oakridge mall.
Unfortunately...one of her guests, Leo pictured here, got particularly antsy while waiting and decided to take the crown for himself!
Never in favor of surprises, Kimberly entered and was greeted with, "surprise!" She was not a happy camper.
One last form of embarrassment - singing "Happy Birthday" with our outdoor friendly voices! I think she secretly enjoyed the spotlight, despite her threats to stop singing.
Sarah (farthest left) and Gabe (left) were listening to Kimberly. Whereas her other guests were deeply engrossed in their own conversations.
Kim (left) and Athina (right) were ready to call it a night. Paying for the bill took longer than eating, both were ready to pack their dinner and go home.,

Logos, Pathos, & Ethos
this is an example of an ad using logos. It portrays Geico's mascot, the gecko, in a very intellectual manner with the use of glasses. The copy on the ad can really be understood if the audience understands the financial background of it. An ad like this can be found in Newsweek or Time, targeting a generally older audience with a college background.
this is an example of a print ad using ethos. When Gatorade uses Tiger Woods as an endorser, it implies that by drinking Gatorade, you can be successful as him. The audience already knows how successful Tiger Woods is, and in a sense, is a trusted figure in society. To the audience, Tiger Woods is not harming them by endorsing Gatorade. Again, the copy supports this idea that the audience can trust Tiger Woods, and can trust that he can refer a good product.
This is a print ad that uses pathos. The ad makes us feel insecure about certain body parts, primarily the lips, and by using this product, it will ultimately change the way the person feels. The bright and golden colors reflect a glowing personality and a vivacious lifestyle. The woman in the ad is beautiful and looks naturally flawless and of course her lips are shiny and luscious.
